PUBLIC NOTICE

PUBLIC NOTICE OF SIGNIFICANT AMENDMENT
TO THE ANNUAL AND/OR FIVE-YEAR PLAN

THE SELMA HOUSING AUTHORITY OF SELMA, ALABAMA (SHA) is amending its Annual and/or Five Year PHA plan. The SHA has received a Commitment to Enter into a Housing Assistance Payments (CHAP) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the conversion of public housing units at George Washington Carver Homes to Project Based Voucher assisted units at Village at Doyle Pointe under the Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD) in accordance with the guidelines of PIH Notice 2012-32, Rev 2, Rev 3, and any successor notices. Conversion under RAD is considered a Significant Amendment to the SHA Annual and/or Five-Year Plan.

This is a 45-day notice with an opportunity to present public comments regarding this change.

The draft of the proposed Significant Amendment is available for review on the SHA website at https://selmahousing.com/ and at 444 Washington Street, Selma, Alabama, 36701.

Comments must be made in writing and presented to the main office located at 444 Washington Street, Selma, Alabama, 36701. Attn. Cicely Curtis or via email to ccurtis@selmahousing.com no later than noon on June 13, 2026.

A public hearing will be conducted on June 17, 2026, at 12:30 P.M. In the Boardroom of the Selma Housing Authority, 444 Washington Street, Selma, Alabama, 36701.
